🌿 What is He Shou Wu (Polygonum multiflorum)?

He Shou Wu, also known as Polygonum multiflorum, is a traditional Chinese herb used for nourishing the liver and kidneys, promoting hair growth, and anti-aging. It is widely recognized in Chinese medicine for its ability to darken gray hair, boost vitality, and enhance overall well-being.

           No!

  • Raw He Shou Wu contains anthraquinones, which can cause diarrhea and liver toxicity.
  • Traditional Chinese medicine always processes He Shou Wu before consumption to neutralize its toxicity.


How to Safely Consume He Shou Wu

1️⃣ Brew He Shou Wu Tea 🍵

  • Take 5-10g of prepared He Shou Wu, steep in hot water for 15-20 minutes.
  • Combine with goji berries, black sesame, or Huang Jing to enhance its effects.

2️⃣ Make He Shou Wu Herbal Soup 🍲
