Emily Aragon: Q and A on Joy Garden Tremella Hydrating Essence From a Licensed Esthetician's Perspective

Emily Aragon: Q and A on Joy Garden Tremella Hydrating Essence From a Licensed Esthetician's Perspective

Joy Garden: Emily, we are so inspired by your work atĀ MySkinMyFace. To start, could you tell our community a bit about your professional philosophy?

Emily Aragon: Of course. My practice is based in Whittier, California, and I focus on corrective and restorative skin treatments. Beyond the surface, I place a strong emphasis on supporting the nervous system. I believe that chronic stress and internal imbalance often manifest through the skin, so my goal is to guide clients into a more regulated, harmonious state where healing begins internally and radiates outward.

Joy Garden: How did you first discover our products?

Emily Aragon: I was actually on a quest for two very specific ingredients: Chrysanthemum and Snow Mushroom (Tremella). I’ve been deeply inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) lately. I love those ingredients internally for their cooling and hydrating properties, and I started thinking—if they are powerful internally, why not externally as well? After searching, I found your product and loved how thoughtful and barrier-supportive the formulation felt.

Joy Garden: We know you are your own "guinea pig" for new products. What were your results?

Emily Aragon: At the time, I was going through a severe eczema flare where even water would burn my skin. Your essence was incredibly gentle, hydrating, and soothing. After consistent use, my skin felt significantly calmer and more resilient. Instead of just temporarily hydrating the surface, it felt like my skin was actually rebuilding.

Joy Garden: As a professional, what was your initial impression of the texture and scent?

Emily Aragon: It felt very elegant and intentional. It was lightweight but not watery, and it absorbed beautifully without leaving a greasy residue or film. The scent was subtle and clean, not artificially fragranced, which is vital when I’m treating sensitive or reactive skin. It gave me immediate confidence for use during barrier repair phases.

Joy Garden: Why do you specifically recommend the Tremella Hydrating Essence to your clients?

Emily Aragon: I turn to it whenever a client’s skin needs a "reset"—especially if they are reactive, dry, or compromised. That said, I believe every skin type benefits from it because it helps maintain long-term balance and creates a strong foundation for the rest of their routine. I often call it "liquid gold" for the skin because it brings comfort, glow, and stability all at once.

Joy Garden: What do you think is the biggest difference between Joy Garden and other moisturizers on the market?

Emily Aragon: The effectiveness and the immediate response of the skin. Many products take time to build up, but this gives an instant replenished feeling. I also deeply appreciate the plant-based preservation system; it speaks volumes about the science and intentionality behind the formulation. It’s easily one of my favorite hydration serums.
